The Discovery Bureau is part of Records Division and is responsible for processing “Discovery Requests.” "Discovery" refers to the legal process of obtaining evidence or information from prosecuting attorneys and/or law enforcement agencies which investigated or prepared the case against the defendant. When a Discovery Request is received, an Investigative Assistant sends a request to the appropriate division or divisions to produce the material requested. The Discovery Bureau collects and delivers the material to the requesting party in a timely and professional manner.
